Wen SyaoRen

The Other Wen Cousin

About

Wen Syaoren is near in age to Wen Ning. He grew up giving Wen Qing another reason to worry and the biggest reason for a her constant headache. He is the complete opposite of Wen Ning. Wen Qing often said he was more Wei than Wen and he'd take that as a compliment since like Wen Ning he too looked up to Wei Wuxian. Although his healing skills weren't too bad, Ren never had much interest in medicine. He was a strong well rounded cultivator. He used to dream of leaving the sects and becoming like Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen. To travel, cultivate and do as he pleased. His carefree and strong headed nature meant many beatings and punishments from Wen Chao. Wen Qing eventually agreed that it'd be best for Ren to leave for his own safety.
Upon hearing that the Jin clan had the remainder of his innocent clan enslaved and mistreated, Ren goes to try and rescue them. By the time he arrives it's too late... He couldn't save his clan nor Wei Wuxian.

After the siege of the Burial Mounds and Wei Wuxian's death he goes into hiding and travels the world. Only Lan Wangji knows of his survival, keeping in touch to update Ren on A-Yuan. It's not until Wei Wuxian's resurrection that he receives a mysterious letter, leading him back just in time for all the revealing events and to be reunited with Wen Ning, Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji and A-Yuan.

Ren is quite playful in nature but can have his quiet moments. His mood varies depending on circumstances and the people he's around. He likes to drink and is a bit of a foodie. He can come off as cold or rude. It takes a bit to earn his trust and respect but he is a loyal friend.

Appearance:
Hair: dark brown/black
Eyes: brown
Height: 6'2

When Ren went off to college he mostly had fun but eventually he decided on studying astronomy and space engineering. Now he works for a major space company, working on research, experiments and developing their software and programming. He always jokes with his friends and family that he only picked this career because he's looking for aliens. But really where the aliens at?!

For fun Ren likes to travel, hike, play video games, out drink all his friends, workout and bug those close to him.
